I have a WMA30 that once in 6odegree wash never finishes it’s cycle. It will empty if manually moved on to the next cycle and spin as normal. If you select pre-wash 95 it will move to ‘wash’ but again it will not complete.
The heater element reads ok (30ohms) and there is mains on the heater during the pre-wash cycle. If the machine is set to quick wash everything works fine. One thing I’ve noticed is that the machine never seems to draw water from the hot feed-in.

    Any ideas?[/code][/u]

Bear in mind that the 60° cycle is the AAA rated wash cycle. Average time for this wash is 2 hrs 20 mins.

If the heater is faulty the electronics should sense no rise in temperature and move the machine onto the next cycle after 10 minutes then continue to the end of the wash, rinse & spin . The only thing you would notice in this case is possible poor wash results on heavily soiled items.

All initial fills are short, timed cold only to fill the sump, this prevents the detergent being flushed into the sump hose instead of the drum. The machine then switches to hot fill for the rest of the fill unless the incoming hot supply is too hot for the programme selected, if it senses this it will fill with more cold as well. Woollen wash is cold fill only.
