Customer called in today about Hotpoint wma32 washer causing cold water pipes to bang and vibrate on spin.He has pulled the washer out and vibration and banging can be felt on pipes around house when machine is in full spin.Any ideas
Have you had a look ? sounds a strange one.
Is the valve opening and closing quickly for some electrical reason causing water hammer in the pipes, megger all round!
Domestic pipes should be secured enough to prevent water hammer.
Are the water valves getting an intermitant voltage? if so could it be down to a bad connection somewhere in the machine, are the brushes “sparking” and a triggering the triacs. Earth fault on heater? shouldn’t be to hard to trace
Picking up machine tomorrow, called to have a quick look, water can be felt pulsing along pipes causing the vibration but only happens on full spin.Thinking board fault
