    Hi all, seem 2 of these in last week(one was WMA30)……machine stopped mid cycle full of water…..visited appliance and tried to run appliance….could not restart appliance leds lit bit start button not working and no DOOR LOCK led…so thought door interlock U/S so replaced but made no difference?? is there some fault like older WMA series that takes out PCB?
    I suspect top controller but at £56+vat would like to be more positive before I order…..

    Any ideas please

    Hi Spuddy ,this happens a lot so check wiring to the motor & heater,also check those items aswell, damp or low insulation on the motor & heater can take the pcb out to lunch! Really check all components to be on the safe side! Emw do exchange/repair pcbs..

    Thanks Chris……ill certainly take a look at those items…but are you saying that it is failing some sort of initial shelf check or that the pcb probably is faulty because of one of the mentioned components….I realise most electronic machines do a check before starting is that what is happening here?

    have you removed module for a visual? If not I suggest you do, you’ll probably find a blown track.
    As Chris said you can get a replacement for £41 inc vat from EMW.

    by the way, it could still be the module even if there are no blown tracks, but you can try a module from EMW and return it for £5.87 if it doesn’t cure your problem.
