    Can anybody help please I have a WMA46 and the the programmer seems to operate ok. The machine fills up and pumps water out. However the drum starts to spin ( really fast) and then it all seems to freeze up until you change program mode to spin only. The machine will then spin for about 10 secs then freeze again, Then it finishes and you can open the door.
    Any advise would be gratefully received.

    Motor tacho feed fault, possibly broken wiring to the motor plug or wiring chafed near front concrete weight.

    If you are really unlucky you may have an FHP motor with a loose tacho magnet, three different motors used on these.

    Be sure to remove the mains plug before you open it up. 😉

    All sorted many thanks. As you thought the motor wires had chafed on the weight. I have repaired these and now washing my smalls. Thanks for your help.
