Does the “distribute in wash” thing as part of the programme and throws water out of the drawer. Occasionally a dribble, sometimes quite a lot. Machine is level, leaning back slightly, if anything.

Any particular quirk I need to know about? Soap hose? Drawer/box?

    Chris.

Not something I have seen except when machine has overfilled or been oversoaped. 😕

Something I would expect our feathered friend has already checked. 😉 😀

Hotpoint refer to it as a ‘surge wash speed’ and it speeds up from the normal 54rpm up to 90rpm for approx 3 minutes during cotton wash cycles only. 😉

Leaking from the dispenser is usually a sign that either the soap hose is clogged or (and more likely) the air chamber/sump hose is gunged up allowing the machine to overfill slightly.

Users of loose detergent in the soap drawer are the main offenders I find. 8)
