Hotpoint WMA56 washing machine

It’s been with us a long time and it’s getting decidedly grubby inside the powder/softener drawer and behind (black mould?)

I want to run it through the 90C cleaning cycle and need to know 1) if it’s safe do it with an old machine and 2) if there is anything I can add (to powder dispenser?) to help clean out the innards.

Your advice would be most welcome 🙂

Should have done a search first. The same question was answered for me in 2007.

As an update – I’ve now ordered two packs of Affresh from UKwhitegoods and look forward to being able to provide a positive review.

Second update – Goods received Friday am (Hermes forecast was for Saturday). One tablet now rattling around in machine 🙂
