    I have a Hotpoint WMA63 S/N 04179879 this is very noisy on spin and when I rotate the drum by hand it sounds as if there is something inside rolloin around. I have checked the bearings by lifting to drum at twelve as suggested elsewhere and can see no movement between the drum and the seals is it the bearings or is something trapped in between the inner and outer drums?
    how do I check?
    I have the top off but it is not obvious what to do next?

    HI, Have you tried looking through the holes in the drum with a torch to see if there is anything stuck around the element area? Six o clock postion. Bra wire sounds the most likely.

    No good
    Called hotpoint told them was the bearings they came on tuesday without the right parts and went away. Then we got a postcard saying they will not be back for 2 weeks!
    Is it worth the extra £50 to have the 12 month guarantee?
