Hotpoint WMD960 not rotating

Hi,

I have a hotpoint WMD960 washing machine that isn’t rotating. The belt is in good condition, no brushes to worry about (3 phase motor) and the waste pipe isn’t blocked.

When I put the machine on, with or without clothes in the drum, the cycle starts, water enters the machine, the clock begins to count down – everything as normal, except the drum doesn’t rotate. When the cycle reaches the end, (i.e. 1 minute to go) it will not finish, nor unlock the door. No fault codes are shown on the display.

Any help/advice thankfully received,

The motor needs testing with a megger or suitable multimeter, also all the wiring harness and connections need inspecting for breaks or bad contacts.
