    Hi,

My Hotpoint WMD960 tells me there is a problem with the supply, and refuses to fill. I have tested:

    1. Water is there (high pressure)
    2. Pressure transducer clicks when I blow into it
    3. Pipe leading to pressure transducer is clear when I blow through it
    4. Inlet valves (there are two) measure a little over 3KOhm each

The machine is only 2 years old. It claimed there was a supply issue last week but a couple of soft restarts (using the power switch on the front panel) sorted that. Now, however, it refuses to consider a wash even if I do a hard restart (switch off/on at the mains).

    Any advice is gratefully received.

8 different variants of that machine

its normally valve problems tbh, i presume your gettin a H2O fault

if the valves checkóut and theres water there and the doors locking, its a good chance its a pcb fault

can you get the commercial code, cos if its an arcadia style, then the smart money is on the pcb!

Re: Hotpoint WMD960 refuses to fill

Thanks. I’ll dig out the info tonight.

It’s claiming there’s a problem with the water supply.

I have read that somewhere between 3KOhms and 5KOhms across the terminals of the valves is within tolerance and indicates it hasn’t burnt out.

Door locks, water pressure is good, valves “appear” to be good.

I’ll look out the commercial code. Can you indicate what format and where I might find it please? And what does “arcadia style” mean?

    Many thanks for your reply.

Re: Hotpoint WMD960 refuses to fill

Home now. The markings I’ve found on the back are as follows:

On the sticker with the bar code: L2 (54728) WMD960P 811050240

On the Electrical compliance sticker: 195049127 (that bit is only half printed on the sticker – misalignment with the printer) Type LB2006TRF

Hope that’s what you needed. Many thanks again.
