    Daughters 4 year old WMD690 displays “no water”.
    there is water pressure at the inlet. Possible causes of failure,
    faulty solenoid
    faulty air switch/hose
    control unit

    is there a “most likely part to fail”?

    The control unit(bottom left rear) appears to have a series of flat connectors behind a plastic panel, possibly to allow a diagnostic unit to interrogate fault codes! too sophisticated?

    Most likely cause is an open circuit fill valve. Mains plug out and meggar or decent multimeter needed to test.

    PS. I will edit the thread title, I think you mean a WMD960. 😉
