Hi my mum has a WMF720P (UK).R washing machine and it has died entirely. I have checked and power is getting into it ok, but the main PCB at the bottom has a big scorch mark on it and a resistor is burnt out.

Can anyone advise if this would be repairable or what part number is required to replace the PCB?

I have seen a PCB on ebay for a 520P would that work in the 720?

    Thanks

Bad news is that the PCB has to be specific for the model AND has to be configured. So forget eBay. 🙁

is it worth bothering with then? it is under the 5yr parts guarantee but I assume the labour costs are a tad high for an approved repairman

Would anyone be able to provide the size of resistor I need to replace the blown one?

It is right next to the mains input and is green, first band is brown, last is gold, the rest have been burnt away

Use a calculator online, you enter the colours of the bars and it tells you the resistor
