ModeratorI have seen machines stop halfway through a cycle, then stop totally with one minute showing.
Not come across this one before, no error messages, everything checks out fine electrically, filter clear etc.
Machine counts down perfectly through the full wash, rinse and spin cycles to the last minute then sticks there indefinitely, spinning away at top speed until you switch it off. 😕
Anyone else encountered this fault?
Jim.

So, are we all ‘stuck’ on this one then? 😉

Iv seen a few do this and it can be a number of things.
Check the below
Pump and sump is clear
I had one doing the same and the pump was fine but there was a sock in the sump,
Check Motor brushes are fine
If these are good it could be the board but I had one last year that threw 2 engineers. It would get to 1m then constantly go back into spin, We changed the board, motor , pressure switch and it still did it, in the end we changed the pump and it was fine after that. To this day we still don’t know why it was doing it with the old pump as it was draining fine.

Change the pump as these machines look for the correct resistance reading. I’ve seen it a few times on machines in a friends workshop

Somehow don’t think it will be the brushes but if I find any on this machine I will let you know. 😉
Pump is perfect and clear, have already checked those.
It doesn’t ‘go back into spin’ it just never stops at all.

Yep, worth checking the brushes though. basically if anything is giving the module strange readings or has low IR they tend to throw a wobbly. I see at least 1 a week doing the same thing.
a question though, does it perform the full spin the slow down as if to finish then go back into the spin again or does it just do one long continuous spin forever ?
There is never a single guarantee cause its just a matter of checking everything, for instance if there is something in the sump the pressure switch still reads as if its got water in and continues to spin until that water is removed even though the water will have drained.
Sometimes these electronics do very odd stuff. Iv got an HP Aqualtis I’m working on that’s giving an F5 blocked pump error at the end of the bed and bath cycle only. The machine does its full spin then finishes as if its about to release the door then gives F5, water all drained and clothing fully spun. It only gives this error on that program and only at the end. It’s had new boards, pump, pressure sw and harnesses. Next is sump as we think the OKO ball may be sticking. No one can understand why it’s doing it but it is.November 1, 2012 at 4:23 pm #383995iadom

As I mentioned with a wink in my last post, if I find any brushes on this machine I will check them, but I will be very surprised if I do. 😉 😉 😉
As mentioned in my first post it goes through the whole cycle perfectly, doing the intermittent, slower spins before building up into the final fast spin. It does not falter at any time, speed up or slow down, it just sticks spinning at full speed until you stop it.

Sorry 3ph I take it, Iv not stuck the model in the system. From what your saying I’d go with board, if its not finishing then starting again then I bet the board is getting stuck when spinning , possalbe EPROM program issue. My money if its 3 phase and EVO 2 is its the c00254298 or the 530 board.
They do some strange stuff at times.

Yep 3 phase motor. 😀
Suspected the PCB from the off, unlike any others I have seen sticking and showing 1 minute TBH. I think she is likely to just switch it off at the end of cycle, no more putting it on overnight. 😉

I had 1 doing it after throwing about everything at it, it was still doing it as a last throw of the dice i put a pressure switch on it and bingo i had it cured, indesit electronics are totaly baffling at times. If the heater and wiring are okay in yours Jim i would plump for the module most of the time. JJ
