hotpoint wmf940 no motor action

hi the above machine has no motor action and is displaying no error codes , the motor is induction type but i cannot find a capacitor in the machine ?

Check wiring between motor control unit & motor, motor control unit & control board, also check windings of motor. Normally they throw up a fault code like F06 if theres no signal back from tacho.

Note that this is a 3 phase induction motor, therefore it does not need a motor start capacitor, it will have three windings connected in delta (triangular) configuration, this means that you should get exactly the same readings between any 2 of the winding connections. It may be worth taking the main module out and having a good look at it as I have seen a few of these which have gone pop.
