Hotpoint WMFG 8537 Bearings

Hi,

Does anyone know if the WMFG 8537 has a sealed drum?

The wife got one about 18 months ago and it’s becoming so noisy as to be almost unbearable.

If so, then there’s probably no point repairing and so I’ll be having to look at getting a new one.

The budget doesn’t have too much in it right now, looking at <£500 for a 7Kg+ machine… any suggestions for something that I would have been able to just change the bearings on?

Provided your wife registered her purchase with Hotpoint then it carries a 5yr parts warranty. Hotpoint with then replace the drum and/or whatever else is at fault for a fixed, labour only, charge. That would be your cheapest option.
