    Our Hotpoint WMFG 8537 washing machine came up with the error code F01, in accordance with the manual we turned it off and waited a few minutes before starting it again. Now it seems to do nothing but have a steady clicking / tick noise. Have tried various settings and left in unplugged for some time but no joy.

    F01 = Motor triac fault.
