ParticipantI posted a few weeks ago about my washing machine leaking on rinse and spin cycle form the dispenser drawer. I took the drawer out and cleaned it, it was quite gunked up. No more leaking. But now it’s leaking from the drawer again, not on every wash though which is odd, but always on the rinse and spin cycle. I think it’s more the rinse cycle. It doesn’t gush out, it sort of dribbles. I have had a look and can see the water collecting under the slot where the drawer slides in. Any more ideas please, It’s almost 5 months old, and if it does have a partial blockage as was suggested in the replies last time I posted, how do I go about finding out ig it is blocked?
Or should I just get ready for endless arguments with Currys or get a sledgehammer to it 😆April 29, 2009 at 9:46 am #285323daisychain

PS – I have just watched the machine as it is doing a wash now, and as soon as the water goes into the fabric conditioner section of the drawer, water started leaking out. Should the pressure be turned down some more?

If it is leaking at any point during the fill cycles then the fault lies in the drawer or water pressure area.
Turning down the pressure a little more may help. in the past if I had one doing this and there was enough room under the worktop I used to adjust the two front feet to give the machine a very slight backwards tilt.
Sadly your machine has no original Hotpoint in it, its 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Indesit, these will have a pump filter behind the prise off plastic kickstrip at the bottom front.

WOW i also had a hpt like this a couple of year ago… checked everything out all seemed ok… guy had had this machine a few years and he said its never happened before, he luckily stipulated that the water board had been around in the week digging up the road… can only assume whatever they done gave the inlet to hes house a pressure boost… so i also raised the front feet slightly and very slightly turned off hes cold feed supply… hes never wrang back! 🙂
