Hotpoint WML520 weird one

This is a weird one. Guy rings up last night and says he found a piece of metal in his laundry after the wash in the drum. I said probably came out the pocket of something. ‘No chance’ says he and that the machine works perfectly. So I asked him to describe the foreign object. Apparently semi-circular piece of metal, with part numbers on it measuring six inches across!!!
I’m not familiar with this model but can’t think for the life of me what it could be from. Can any of you???

I asked him last night but doesn’t have a mobile phone and I think his camera is the type you put on a tripod and put a blanket over your head. It’s a good hour and a half round trip as well so hoping to be fore armed.
