    Hi All

This one is driving me mad.

I called about 5 weeks ago to this unit as it was leaking. I could not find any fault after running it through several fills, empties and spins.
Recall last Thursday as it done the same again ( no problems for 4 weeks). Again sat with it for a good couple of hours and found no leaks. however I did notice water run marks down dispenser hose but nothing much compared to the flooded floor that I was paddling in.
Phone call tonight – it has done the same after working ok since last Thursday. 😥
Is there something I am missing or known why these Hotpoints leak intermitant? ( Has the twist out soap draw) The motor appears to ram up into spins ok without water in side drum. Customer uses liquid detergent inside capsule (bold I think) which is put into drum.
Water on floor is clean water which does suggest in happens on fill.

Any help or comments would be grateful

    Hi Geoff

Have you tried it with a few towels in? When they spin they throw water around the drum.

    Hi

I will give another go today and check with load of towels just to see what it does. This will be only the fourth time it has happened in the last 5 months? 😕

    Thanks

Check what she is using for detergent and where she is putting it 😳 , the hose from dispenser to tub is quite small and occasionaly block

It gets pretty cold on them western isles and I’m wondering if frozen drain pipe might be a possibility?

    Hi

Some cold nights we have had but not enough to freeze the pipes – just me.
The moral of this story is not to listen to the customer going on about her nice new washing machine leaking every where and to check the very old condensor drier sat next to it. Where I asked is the cap off the water bottle? Dont know, lost it some months ago she said as the penny begain to drop!!!Not had to empty that for a while she added. 😳
One quote for a water bottle for a zanussi tc482 on its way to her.
