hi guys has anyone replaced the door lock on the wml hotpoint with the std hotpoint indesit door lock (c00085194)
the only difference i can see is the correct door lock has a quick relese pull handle to open the door hidden behind the kick plate in case the door handle breaks
    thanks in advance phil

I’m sure this new range have a zero delay lock in them. Like the Zanussi machines.

So I wouldn’t try the old type in it.

This is why there is a mechanical release option on them.
(If theres a power-cut or the lock fails electrically.)

    Hi Phil
No The Particuler Appliance I Was Working On Was TrippingIt Was The Main Power Feed To The Board It A 2 Spade Connector Block It Get Hot And Its Melting The Plastic Insulation Divider Between The Live & Neutral On The Block.
I Was 😮 To See On This Block The Divider In The Connector Block Looked Like Metal With The Plastic Insulation Round It It Just Melted And
It Had A Rather Large Bang & Flash 😯 .

The Lock For This Is Not Cheap To
    Paul…
