ParticipantChecked in the manual and it said to call for technical assistance, which I did and was told it would probably be the module that was faulty. Then proceded to tell me I had 2 options one was £105 and the other was £160, this machine is only 18 months old and this is the 2nd fault it has developed, just wondered if anyone knew of any cheaper way to get this sorted.
I know I can go to trading standards and get a proportion of money back for it but I am kind of stuck here with no machine. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.October 30, 2010 at 8:20 pm #334530iadom

You actually have at least four options apart from resorting to the Trebuchet. 😀
Option 3. If you are capable of attempting to repair the machine yourself you can remove the mains plug, take out the main PCB located down at the back and send it to one of the companies who specialise in repairing modules etc. They will test/repair the PCB, not sure of prices to the general public but if you Google for EMW you will find out.
Make sure you make a careful note of the position of the wiring connections first.
Option 4. Use the ‘Find an engineer’ feature on this web site to see if we have someone in your area who will be able to help you.

Spend around £400 upwards for anything remotely decent. BSH products, Bosch, Neff, Seimens are good ‘mid’ range appliances.
Sadly yours is now more Indesit than Hotpoint, sealed drum, thin drum spider, suspect bearings, possibly the most unreliable electronics on the current market etc. 😥
