    Hi,

I have a Hotpoint WT400 which has a fault. The manual says that if a the door locked light flashes and any other LED is on, there is a fault. So I am assuming there is a way to decode the lights to get an error code.

So, the door locked LED flashes rapidly, plus the Time Delay, and the Extra Rinse lights are on constantly.

    Controls don’t respond.

Can anyone help to interpret this please? Is there a specific fault it’s telling me about?

    thanks

Don’t quote me as I’ve not come across these top loaders but I think it has the same electronics as some Indesit and Hotpoint front loaders? That is : LED’s 1 & 4 refers to an EEPROM/setup error but I’m not certain? Wait one and my colleague will pop by and give greater info as to what the error code is…….

Are these the EVO2 error codes? F1 – F18 seem to come up when I search on error codes, but I can’t find anywhere that tells you how to translate the combinations of LEDs into the F codes?

Yep, eeprom setup, comms error, faulty main power board likeliest cause. 😥

    1+4 is F09. WT400

    OK thanks – I think!

By the way, I’m curious, do you have the whole look up table for the codes please?

    If 1+4 = F09, is it binary? First light = 1, 2nd = 2, 3rd = 4, 4th = 8, so 1(1) +4(8) = 9?

    thanks
