I have a Hotpoint WT540 when i close the door the door locks but the indication light to say the door is lock doesn’t come on. It also doesn’t take in any water. All that happens is the wash light comes on
and the machine will not do antthing else.

Glad to hear it, what was the colour code on the valves after?
On the WT540, check the motor connector is seated properly, check motor brushes, check for breaks in the motor harness.
