I need a module for this but I’m confused about which sort I need. I rang EMW who said there are two versions, 0ne with single phase and one with 3 phase motor. I thought I would be able to tell this without removing the board as I thought the 3 phase had a big square heatsink in the middle, poking through a window in the plastic case. I went back to the machine and there was no heatsink visible so I assumed it was single phase. I now look at the EMW website and it looks like all the WT models have the central heatsink but there are other variations. The one on my customers machine looks more like the MK 8 board but that is not listed as fitting WT models. 😕
Connect and Masterpart only list parts for the 3 phase version. I had previously wondered if the “T” in “WT” stood for Three (phase).

according to servicenet, that machine does indeed have a 3 phase pcb

the only variation is the eprom fille
    theres a 50mm stack
    or a screwed cold fill

why dont you just take it off and send it to emw, let him read the eprom file and he can send you it straight back?

I’m sure there is a WT540 3 phase, and WT540/1 and WT540/2 Which are single phase, there is usualy a label on the back which identify’s which is which. jj

Yes, I know that the module I need is for a single phase motor but could not figure out which sort. EMW reckon it’s a MK4 so that’s what they are sending.

The replacement module is in and the machine working but the led for the On/Off button is not coming on. I suppose this means the top board is also faulty. Perhaps when the buttons got jammed the led was damaged? Customer does not seem too bothered about that anyway.
