    This machine has just started to trip the RCD Main Switch as soon as the machine is plugged in and switched on at the socket. I have swithced off all other appliances and tried in different sockets but to no avail.

    I have taken the top off the machine and located some sort of capacitor the power lead connects to and I have taken white plug out that is possibly supplying power to the rest of the machine and it is still tripping.

    Could this be the fault and if so does anyone know what this is called or what I would need to search for in google for the part.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    firstly, id cut 4 inches off the cable, fit a new plug, and take it from there
