ParticipantHi,
Not sure if this should be in trade spares,
Fitted a WMA rear tank to a WT761G s/n 610030150Sadly, the rear is not quite the same an i only noticed after fitting it back, the suspension pins do not fit as the drum rear is different in this respect.
I tested it and it may do her over Christmas until the pins fall out. Anyone made the same mistake, and is there a way out without changing the rear drum again? We would need slightly longer pins and a spacer. Thanks for any advice
Happy Christmas

Hi Graeme
This is one of my worst nightmares from May of this year. Change rear half and inner drum using one from WMA. when I had drum in machine noticed massive gap between tub front and inner drum. Stripped it all down again and used original drum with new drum shaft as the original drum was about 3inches deeper. Put it all back together to find the problem with the suspension. I was never confident about using a nut and bolt with spacer as I thought it would wear away the plastic. Could not find anything else suitable.
Nothing else for it but to order correct rear half C00144137 which will also require a 35mm drum shaft on inner drum.Merry christmas

Thanks for that advice Geoff.
Have already fiitted the shaft and the front gap looks fine. As you know it leaves a gap where the suspension locates and the pin is not quite long enough. Just had a look at the cost of the rear half, sugar!
Will have to think of a way of making this work of it won’t be worth the effort.Best Regard

A WMA rear half wont fit as it is for a 6kg machine the WT761 is a 7 kg machine and both the front half, rear half and inner drum area little deeper, that is why there is a large gap, cross matching wma parts with 7 kg machines, the only way you could do it is fit a whole wma tub with balance weights, the 7 kg back half part n/o is C00144136
i’m sure connect were flogging it for under£40 on its own the last time i searched, JJDecember 23, 2009 at 9:56 pm #307098Phidom

You don’t say what was wrong with the old rear half. If it was just bearings could you not just fit a new bearing kit?

Strange, Partfinder shows two different numbers for this part, one C00144136 & C00144137 which is listed as the correct part for this machine. 😕
Although the C00144136 is listed at £44.34 and is only supposed to fit seven models. The C00144137 is listed at £86.95, supposed to fit over thirty models, all totally different to the other drum.
So apart from over £42 whats the difference?

Thanks Guys,
Yes this rear half is coming up £85 + and the old rear is unusable.Having looked at the old rear tub against the wma style, there are a couple of extra screw points at the top where the metal clips were used, and the suspension flange has been moved back 10mm. I thank I can make up a spacer to take up the slack and drill / pin the end of the plastic pin, it’s just sticking through enough. Will be more careful on the part number next time.
Thanks

C00144136 & C00144137 which is listed as the correct part for this machine. Confused
Jim the C00144136 comes without the heater and seal etc, the C00144137 comes with all the bits like the 1605082 rear half tub kit, JJDecember 25, 2009 at 9:37 am #307103eastlmark

Welded drum is set up for drain pump at front, screwed drum still has pump at rear so not possible to interchange Mark.

Went back and made a couple of thick washers up to fill the gap. Then managed to get a screw in the very end of the suspension pin at 90 degrees, covered this in epox stick to set. Will see if the pin stays in place.
