I have a hotpoint wt960 it fills with water, the time elapses the front screen states ‘wash’ but nothing turns or moves. It then sits at 1minute for ever, until I press cancel when it pumps out and Ends.

The belt appears intact, the pump seems to be working what could the problem be my guess is either motor or electronics all help greatly welcome

    Thanks

The problem is most likely to be either connection of the motor cable to the PC Board or a fault with the board itself…

If you are going to check, make sure to leave at least 10 mins before touching the board after disconnection as they can hold charge

    Thanks for you reply

I’ve pushed all connectors I can see including the one with the five red wires that connect to the board, and no joy, is there a specific wire connector i should be looking for?

    Thanks

I would suggest then you send the board to EWM Electronics for testing / repair

I’ve tested the suspect board by installing it on a working machine, the board seems fine the drum turns etc. any other suggestions as to what I should check next?

    Thanks
