hi guys i have been having some trouble with this machine, ie replaced module which failed after a short while, it was suggested i tried a different motor as they can cause a prob, although the motor tested out ok, however whilst finding a suitable spare s/h motor i noticed that the wiring on the one i had taken off had a loop across the two connections furthest away from the tacho, possibly this is the wrong motor? and cause of the fault can anyone confirm my suspicions please

Motor connections 1-2 are the motor overload so should be linked together through the overload.

    Has the motor been ‘doctored’?

I posted a picture of the wiring for this motor on here a while back, will try and find it.

thanks for your input iadom , will inspect more closely although the link does not look like a mod. its simply a loop of wire, even if it has been shorted would that cause the control unit to blank out ie no display, i will check motor numbers compatable as well
    thanks john

I would be very suspicious of a motor that the overload had been shorted out on . :rolls:
