Hotpoint…WT965A..ser.no. 606140041

Hi,
This machine tripped the electric and lost all display and is dead.
There is power to the main board in the base but no visible blown components. I checked wiring for damage and meggered the motor and element.
I don’t want to order the board if there could be another reason for the machine being dead or may need any other parts as well.
Any advice welcome.

remove console module contacts and refit checking good connection common fault

Hi Hotdog,
I removed all the connections and refitted them but to no avail.
I wondered if there could be anything else.

It should be at least two pieces blowed on main PCB… if does not gives any signs of live at he tripped electric fuse. [ex.: near to motor triac radiator you should see one 20Ohms/2watts resistor(red,black,black marked) which is blowed, but don’t replace her because there are more and effects could be 👿 ….]

Do you not have any other chance :rolls: … unless can you repair main PCB… 🙁
