ParticipantThe Freezer is working fine. After the due web search, and checking the hardware, I know that it’s either the Temperature sensor, or the Control Board. I’ve had the Damper mech out and it opens and closes fine using a 12 volt supply.
Can anyone tell me what the Temperature Probe resistance should be please? I’ve checked both the two wire connections off the Control Board and neither seem to vary with temperature. A Service Manual, or wiring schematic would be very useful.December 8, 2020 at 8:17 pm #473735electrofix
Moderatorthis unit as far as i know uses cold air from the freezer to cool the fridge. to do this it needs an air in and an air out pipe. if either is blocked with ice then freezer work normally but fridge is warm

Participant@electrofix: The airflow into the fridge from the freezer is fine. I can feel it easily.
@kaibart:As I said in my original post, the Damper is working fine. There’s no ice around it either.
I’ve half opened the Damper flap and disconnected it, and the fridge is being maintained at a fairly low temperature, so there must be air coming in from the freezer, so the fan and coils etc aren’t iced up. So it’s either the Air Temperature Probe or the Control Board. Anyone got a wiring schematic, or preferably a Service Manual please?December 10, 2020 at 3:34 pm #473738electrofix
Moderatorthat test wont work
with the door closed and if the return pipe is blocked there will be no flow
have you tried a complete defrost ?
switch off, door open for 2 days

ModeratorWell I’ve changed the damper for that reason as I temporarily wedged it open and it cooled ok so you are proving the damper is faulty if u half opened it and disconnected it aren’t you

ParticipantAs per my OP, “I’ve had the Damper mech out and it opens and closes fine using a 12 volt supply.” It means the Control Board could be faulty as it’s not controlling the damper, but I’ve measured 12v on the wires coming from it, and if I open the Damper, reconnect it and switch on the fridge, the Control Board closes it, so the Control Board seems to be able to control the Damper is some way. It could still be the Control Board, or the Air Temperature Probe.
