ParticipantGot one of these that doesn’t open the soap door. Otherwise works OK.
Checked that dispenser itself works OK and wiring to it is all properly connected. Took out board, found usual burnt terminal on JS1-12V relay but also a triac (?) right next to said relay which has exploded.
Is this triac the same as the one on the other side of the board which is marked Z9M Y952. Also would the relay have caused it to blow? Will be fiddly soldering job but better than £88+ for new module from Bosch.Additional info: Alternative model no: SGSHPE4GB FD 8505
Comes up as part no. 269924 on BSH website. Seems to be out of stock/non returnable/no longer available/P.O.A. elsewhere. It’s a two part module with soldered in ribbon cable and countdown timer on display.
Thanks for looking,

Dispenser relay’s are a common fault with blowing boards/triacs as are water point motors attached to heater boxes! 😉

Update. Googling that triac no. suggested Z9M series was obsolete but got the probable specs for it off a posting in an elecronics forum. Looked up a triac with same specs on RS (1A 600V 10mA gate sensitivity) and found part listed as Z0109MN. The new triac arrives and it’s marked Z9M ! 😕 I’ll never get my head round the logic of these markings.
Anyway, stick new relay and triac in and back to re-fit. Soap door did not open on “quick wash” but customer reminded me that original problem had included “not drying properly” so it looks like that relay controls the heater as now heater working fine. Left him to test it out on full wash and give me a call. Would like to get that dispenser door opening sorted if anyone has any clues. During the quick wash test there was 240v to both sides of activator so it’s either the module or connections.

No drying cycle on quick wash, FYI 😉

Could you let me know where you got the Z9M triacs from please.
Thanks
