You’ve done that for a customer? Should it not get a proper repair? Loctite crumbles away after a while! Looks like there is only 1 GOOD Comet engineer then eh Helo_75!!
😯
Lord Help Us indeed, thats the sort of thing that makes people wary of engineers, no wonder it is hard to find a good one, even I know thats a bodged job. :rolls:July 26, 2009 at 6:31 pm #292799iadom

Lordhelpus is not a Comet engineer Oliver. If he was he would already have information on Hotpoint appliances. 😉
Your comments are not helpful in any way, shape or form. :rolls:

Not trying to be horrible but when you pay someone to do something (or not if its in the warranty period) you expect a good, safe job to be done. If I have to get that drum spider fitted to my Bosch I want a proper job doing that will last, well like you or Helo would do for instance, you must both do a proper job as you’ve both been in the trade for so many years!
😉

Participantunfortunately, its a very hard one to get right
personally, id have fitted the modified fan and collett, but not everyones privvy to the help available… lordhelpus was offered assistance, yet refused our offers of help
at the end of it all, lordhelpus is an engineer, a hard job to do in the environment hes in.. customer and employer want the quick fix.. under pressure to perform at little cost.. maybe he felt it was the right option
if he’d joined the trade section, he’d have found a wealth of information, freely given by others in the same situation
whichever way you look at it, everyone has a good point of view, and rightly or wrongly, good advice was ignored
experience is a wonderful thing, as long as others share it with you!

Comments removed, A lot of good people are of a religous persuasion that would find your comments offensive.
