How clean is your house?

I’m pretty sure you’ve all seen some really grotty places in your time 😯 😳 , but has anyone ever refused to go into a property on hygene grounds? :eeek:

Yes I have , the floors were soaking wet and had lumps of brown stuff could not tell if it was dog or human . Did not stay long enough to find out what it was. Never did hear any more from that customer .
Also took kick plate of a dishwasher to be greeted by a rat. tray full of water and floating rat t**ds refused to work on machine as one of my customers husbands had already died of something you can catch from rats .

I don’t think I’ve ever got to a job and refused to go in the house but I some times make excuses for not doing further work in the most grotty places. The other day an old lady asked if I could come and remove her old cooker and wire up the replacement second hand one. I said I could go that afternoon but she said that would be too soon as she would need to tidy up. We agreed I would go the next day. I don’t know how much tidying had been done but the place was filthy and you could barely move for clutter. 🙄
I have another customer who runs a local repair garage. I have never gone to their house as they either bring the appliance to me or take it to the garage for me to do the work. Their neighbours say they never have anyone go in the house as it’s so untidy, sometimes the clutter builds up until it is level with the windows.
