When I bought my last dishwasher (Homark) 10 years ago, which has now broken, there was a problem with it filling which required an engineer tweak – it had timed fill I think. I believe that fill controlled by pressure or metred flow would be better.

I now want to buy a Bosch Logixx but can’t find out what fill control they use. Does anyone know what fill control they have and how they might cope with a slowish fill (once the timed fill was tweaked on the old dishwasher it worked fine)?

I would suggest a call to Bosch customer care to be honest and ask their opinion before you make the purchase.

The “tweak” for most appliances is a low pressure inlet valve which replaces the original and would normally be chargeable to fit.

A Bosch Logixx will work quite happily at pressures above 1 bar* (14p.s.i) and providing you intend connecting the new machine directly up to your mains water supply, it should be fine. But if your intention is using it ‘in-directly’ via a gravity feed or a local well water supply, then it should also work perfectly well (albeit slowly) because the fill time is NOT timed and therefore won’t need for “tweaking” in this case. The only reservation will be the effectiveness of the water softener, and in order that the ‘backwash’ function in the water softening process is not inhibited by low/slow water flow that is? If you live in a soft water area, then no probs in that regard 😀
