I’ve got a vtd00 dryer with a broken belt. I’ve seen the post/reply originating with andyhandy, and I think I understand how to stretch the replacement belt around the motor shaft. What I’m having difficulty figuring out is how to get the belt around the drum in the first place? Can anyone give me a hint?

    Thanks.

Top, left hand side and console need to be removed and front panel eased forward. Please be sure to remove the plug and watch out for some very sharp edges. Getting the belt back on will be by far your biggest problem and make sure the large plastic tube goes back correctly.

If you get stuck then you can always call the cavalry via the link below. 😉

Stretchy belts on these things can be a real pain to fit back onto motor shaft after fitting onto drum, I find the best way is to remove the front panel completely! put black plastic tube to the side for now, put replacement belt into bowl of boiling water for a minute or two then pre stretch it a bit..pass belt round drum and stretch onto motor shaft..Refit front panel and the you can refit the black plastic tube from the rear..
    Hope this helps abit.

If you have the special tool then the whole process takes around 15 to 20 minutes. 😉

If you are in the trade grendel then applying for trade access will give you all the help you need to avoid going through all that palaver. 8)
