    Hi,
I have a Tricity Bendix Si453W cooker. The main oven element had blown while we were out and cooking on the timer. I replaced it and the new element works, but I now see that the thermostat never cuts off – presumably the reason the element blew in the first place.
Can anyone give me guidance as to what is involved in checking the thermostat, and if necesary fitting a new one? It looks as though I have to take the whole cooker to bits. I am a qualified Electrical Engineer if that helps. Thanks if anyone can help.

    John

It’s nore likely the element failing caused the thermostat contacts to “weld” due to the high current to be honest 🙂

Thermostat is part number 3112758002 at around £30 inc VAT and carriage etc, an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please if you’d like one

Replacement invloves a fairly heavy strip down on these, if you’d prefer an engineer to call, check the repairs@ link below.

I don’t need to mention power off when repairing I’m sure but for future readers 😉

    Dave.
