How do I remove the front panel of a Zanussi WDT-1085

Hi
I hope someone can advise a novice !

The on/off switch of my 8 year old zanussi wdt-1085 washer dryer has jammed. Happy to try to replace it myself, and have managed to loosen all the tabs holding the front panel on, but I can’t remove the two control knobs that are holding the panel in place. Is there some trick to removing them, or do I just apply lots of brute force?

Yes, there’s a knack to them!

The power is off, of course 🙄

See the little round button on the face of the controls knobs? Push that in, and turn the knob face backwards gentlely.

It’s very easy to snap the ‘cam’ in this situation, and I would sugguest using Repairs@ to find a professional.
