Google search for any white goods repairs and THIS SITE comes up.
It’s a site run by a guy called Michael Thorn who set it up last April, but how does it work? 😕

I emailed them asking for a w/m fix in Amersham and got an instant response from Claire @RepairCare asking for my postcode. 8)

what i meant to say this site doesnt mention rep- care and maybe customers dont want to go to rep-care , they find this site and say emmm this looks ok …as i would prefer to deal with a local co .ally

It is a bit sneaky I suppose that they should choose to do that and unless you fill in their contacts form you would never know. I’ve since discovered that Michael Thorn has got more domain name registrations in his name than you could possibly imagine. It seems to me that RC are at war with JTM with regard to getting all towns, all brands and all types of appliances listed on the front pages of most search engines. Some of Michael’s domain names include: –

The only difference being is that at least it goes direct to the 0800repair web page. And so does not operate in what could be a described as a clandestine approach in reeling punters in. But hey, that’s the way the Internet works after all said and done. Grab ’em first, tell ’em after. :rolls:
The only thing about this that miffs me directly is the fact that it compromises my front page listing on search engines and I too have to fight with the likes of the Michael Thorns of this ‘www battleground’ in maintaining a premier slot. I’m still up there but these so and so’s are making life tricky. Hence why I’m always striving to ‘stay in the know’. 😈Re: How does this system work?
may be worth paying someone to keep you up there ,
its a total minefield – our seo guy is now working on a blog site for us , which should direct punters etc , and keep our site relevant-currentdont know to much about it .. but it works
