Yesterday, we took delivery of a new Siemens Fridge Freezer. We waited the prerequisite 8 hours before switching it on (despite it saying only 30 mins in the manual) and we’ve set the control to the recommended setting for 4 degrees. However, 12 hours later, it still doesn’t actually feel cold in the fridge compartment and the thermometer is showing 5+ degrees. Even altering the temp setting doesn’t seem to make any difference. Our old FF felt colder than this.

    interesting

    is the freezer cold?

    where is it situated?

its normal for freezers to freeze fully before the fridge will drop to correct temp

did u fill the freezer straight away or is it still empty

sorry to throw so many questions at you, but its all relevant

They can take a while to get down to temperature, depends on the conditions but I would have thought it should have been there or thereabouts after twelve hours. So, you might have a problem.

Sorry, forgot to pop back to update. I think Helo had the right idea – the fridge eventually dropped to the right temp after the freezer froze.

    Thanks everyone.
