Just a thought before engineers googled faults before 680uf indesit caps, bosch fridge freezer short out thermistor to run in emergency mode,bit100 cap replacement etc, before pcb tricks and tips came out how many do you think you have written off due to an expensive pcb replacement?

Almost an impossible question to answer other than chances are the vast majority of machines wanting expensive replacement boards are scrapped. At a guess I’d say 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}…??

I’ve never repaired a board, but replaced hundreds. The cost is often not prohibitive, particularly for newer, mid-range machines. I guess it depends a lot on your customer base.

I’ve written loads off until I discovered EMW and QER. Maybe with this whole Brexit saga, customers might be more willing to have it fixed than replacing appliance since the new appliances are beginning to be pricey.
