How much would you pay …….?

….. For a pair of Bosch inserts ??
To cut a long story short –
Down London visiting and the washer dies….
Zanussi washer /dryer , no probs . Basic tools in the house so i pulled off the back ,dropped the motor and diagnosed carbons required .
Local shop doesn`t have the correct Zanussi ones so ask if they have any Bosch inserts so i can get the machine back together and running …….

Bit of a shocker – know how much i get `em for ………

Everyone happy `coz their machine was fixed for cost + a pint or two but made me think ……. Are we selling ourselves too cheap ??
I do new carbons and a motor clean/check for £40 but that`s in the rough end of Leeds .

we all have overheads – London prices ??

If i was asked to fit genuine – no problem .

Generally speaking , the area i`m operating in really want it fixing asap and as cheap as possible , most machines being at least 5 years old but often doubling the value of the house contents …….. 😕
gen parts really aren`t an option ..

I’ve been looking at the retail prices of a Zan lock (the one with the solenoid) today, wondering what’s a fair price to the customer. Reading comments from customers on espares how they’re all 5 star pleased to pay £28.99 + del. and they’ve seen them so much more dear elsewhere.(E-spares have a best price guarantee.. if you see it cheaper elsewhere etc. [excl. ebay]..). Lux want £32 approx from their site. Connect are £15 trade. Masterpart 2x for £9.90ea. E-bay sellers knocking them out for around £12/14.
Meanwhile, shop@ £19.99.
Wonder if I should open a parts shop? Make some money. 😆
