Hotpoint 1852 ser. no 94351864. Just booked it in for repair and I must say it is in excellent condition.

Just this afternoon, fitted a set of motor brushes to a Hotpoint 1827 date code 11 or in real money, November 1978, I have been going to this machine for the past 20 years, fitted the odd door seal, pump & about 15 years ago changed the horrible EMD motor for a GDA one which had a set of brushes 7 years ago, the backplate hasn’t a mark on it. after well over 27 years.

I reckon yours is Oct 1977, If it has the Amythsyt (Purple) door.

1852 is a facelifted model of the 18580, in that case it is Oct 1985 production. I still have all the manuals if you need them. 😉 🙂

Makes you wonder why some people can get this longevity out of an appliance (use not abuse) plus the quality is better than the c**p they are producing now 😉
