We had a problem with H20 error code and took out the filter leading to the valve as it was blocked with calcaire and grit, now we have loads of water but I think we must of inadvertantly allowed some calcaire / grit to get to the actual valve and now I’m assuming its blocked open as water continues to pour into the drum even when the machine is off. We have had the lid off and can see the valve but with wires attached we are unsure the best way to go about taking it off and giving it a clean (or if this at all possible) Also can it be replaced (if the cleaning doesn’t work) with a ‘universal’ valve or does it need to be the Ariston one (having trouble locating one onine)

Unfortunately that possibly French model number does not show up on our UK parts software.
The valve for a UK Ariston AQXXF129 is part number C00110333. It will almost certainly be the same part.Valve is not easy to get at although it is possible to clean them if you can.
That said if it is filling when not in use then it would be very risky trying to clean it and a new valve would be the sensible and safest solution.
