looking for a bit of technical support please. Has anyone had one of these type of pressure/water level switches apart that is fitted to the newer Hotpoints and indesits washing machines?

Wondered if there is an adjustment screw under the black plastic plate that would allow me to fill a bit more water into my machine tub as there is one underneath the hood of the larger blue hotpoint / indesit linear switches.

    Thanks.

how to get full 1400rpm spin speed on Indesit Innex 1hr wash

Indesit Innex xwe91483 – anyone know the reason why Indesit has made it so you cannot select the full 1400rpm maximum spin speed on a 1hr rapid wash? only lets me select 1000rpm as a maximum even though machine goes up to 1400rpm

I was thinking it must be a time thing, so that it can do a wash in an hour and then I thought well it cannot take much longer to spin at 1400rpm as oppsed to 1000rpm – so is that what it is or is there some other reason they done it that way.

To me it defies logic, I have to change programme afterwards and select a 1400rpm spin speed after the wash to spin it more

    Thanks.

We tried to explain to you on one of your previous threads that adjustment of that analogue pressure switch is not possible. It is controlled and set electronically by the program module. The magnetic coil within measures the inductance preset by the PCB microprocessor. Interfering with it will render it useless.

    Hi

Looking at the instructions on page 11 the machine is doing as it should.

If you could set it to 1400 spin the programme time would be longer than the hour as advertised. This then in turn mucks up their sales pitch of wash and spin a full load in an hour.

Remember as well this cycle is for lightly soiled fabrics.

    HTH 🙂

It is factory preset, it cannot be altered. Unless you can interrogate the hardware to alter it you’re stuck with the inconvenience of have to select a separate spin.

You may be interested to know though that Indesit felt a ‘quick wash’ cycle such as this was designed to wash fabrics that would otherwise be damaged by a faster spin speed, apparently. 🙂

Thanks all for your replies – I suppose I shall have to put up with it and carry on selecting full 14,000rpm spin after a 1hr wash then as i have been doing – shame these indesits havent got any secret onboard service codes (press 3 buttons on fascia) for the eeprom that you can get into and modify washes like some other machines have

OH right OK, sorry I must have missed that (or forgotten it) its only that I successfully done it on the larger linear digital one on the Hotpoint that I thought this switch might have a screw inside it the same. Never mind .

I got to get out of this mindset that less water in the drum will still wash the clothes just as good and not ruin the clothes with the minuscule amount of water in the drum. – maybe I should put on the wash and not look at it 😆 then I wont be able to unsee what I see and I wont worry about it …

Ping pong ball in sump hose Indesit Innex

    hello. Indesit Innex XWE91483

Are these supposed to have the white plastic ping pong ball (cannot remember the correct name for it :rolls: ) in the black rubber sump hose in this machine , oly I have tipped the machine on its end and I cannot feel the ping pong ball through the hose like you normally can. – I know some engineers have actually removed these in the past but would the manufacturer have removed them these days?

    Thanks.

Is this a new machine, did you replace your Hotpoint machine, the one with the pressure switch you ruined?

Yes it does have the OKO ball in it.

PS. I have merged all of your recent threads, lets try and keep it all in one place. :rolls:

Would have to re title it, ‘Several things you should NOT do with a new machine’ .
