how to get the back off a Zanussi FJ1296

have a Zanussi FJ1296 washing machine (type p6297236, product no. 914787502/01) which needs a new bearing. I thought I’d have a go and I’ve bought the kit – but have fallen at the first hurdle as for some reason I can’t get the split outer casing from the back of the machine to separate! I’ve taken the screws out at the top and at the back etc and put the machine onto its front but there seems to be a fastener on the inside near to the bottom. I’ve tried levering the bottom edge of the casing down but it doesn’t budge.

Remove the two little plugs at the bottom of the rear casing just behind the split line and see what you find 😀 .

Thanks Penguin. I have done the job but it took over two hours to get to the bearings! I see now why everyone says its a long haul.
