ParticipantI have a Bosch Aquastar SMV65E00GB/85 fully integrated dishwasher, on which the door latch has broken.
As far as I can tell, I have to remove the dishwasher to replace the latch (part 00636708 I think) ,as I can’t access the latch from inside the unit.
And that’s where I’m struggling. I’ve located the front bottom mounted plastic screw which adjusts the dishwasher level, and obviously the threaded feet at the front, but I don’t have anything to grip onto to try and pull it out. I’ve tried pulling it from under the front, but not got very far, I’ve slid wooden batons under it, thinking that it would be easier, but to no avail. I don’t want to use the door to rock it it out with because of the hinges.
Is there a simple trick to doing this? Thanks

Can you please clarify that you have lowered the appliance clear of the worktop by adjusting the two front feet and the rear centre foot?

Yes, that’s correct.

Well unless there are serious issues with the floor on where it stands it should slide out using the door to pull on. The rear centre foot is always a problem so a ‘slider’ of some kind under it should be used. The 2 front feet are more resistive to damage so raise that rear foot as far as possible.
I trust also you have unscrewed the top fixing screws into the side carcasses?
Edit: Extra thought….The hoses are not causing it not to pull out are they? You are best to disconnect them first and feed them clear as you extract the machine. 😉

Hi Martin,
Thanks for the swift response. Side carcasses? Of the dishwasher or kitchen cabinets?

Most dishwashers are secured at the top front in some way. Either by small plates at the very top screwed into the worktop or unit sides. Some have screws that fit through holes inside the dishwasher near the top, front edge, sometimes these holes are covered by a small cap.

Thankyou. Found a couple of screws that helped.
