I have ordered a replacement pump from UK Whitegoods. I thought I would remove the old pump whilst awaiting delivery (…hopefully in the next hour or two).I have got access to the old pump, disconnected the hoses and electrical connections but how do I get the pump out.It must be easy!!!!!!. I assumed that by removing the nut on top of the pump bracket (the nut also holds the leg of the washer in place)that the whole assembly would just come out along with the bracket. The bracket seems to be stuck (welded?) to the base of the machine. Maybe all will become clear when I get the new pump???
    Any help appreciated
    Thanks

    Yep, just undo the nut.

After looking at the new pump (the fitting of which is a bit diferent to the old one) I just pulled the old one upwards and forwards and it came out so I didnt need to undo the nout after all!!!
Problem now is fitting the new one. Does it just slot onto the metal bracket without the rubber grommit thing that the old pump used?It doesn’t really seem too secure but I can’t see how it would fit using the rubber grommit.

The rubber grommet is an essential part of its mounting.
