ParticipantHi,
Tumble dryer stopped spinning although I could near the motor going through the motions, so removed the side panel and the small belt that goes from the motor to the pulley/cog for the larger belt has broken.
I have seen videos on how to change the large belt, but nothing on how to change the small one.
Problem is that the motor goes directing into the cog and across to the other side (not very well explianed!!!) so unless uou can pull he motor back you will not be able to put the belt on.
Any ideas, as I have ordered the small belt before figuring out how to put it on!!!!

It’s a complicated process but, put simply, the front fan needs releasing and the whole motor extracted out of the back in order a new belt can be put over the drive shaft.

Martin, you mean the rear fan on the back of the tumble dryer, ok, so not as easy as I thought, need to somehow release the nut holding the fan on the back!!

So finally got the small belt on, used a long socket to reach the nut at the front and then got somebody to grab the fan at the back so it can be lessened, then extracted the motor just as Martin had said. Happy days!
