ParticipantCan anyone explain how the aquastop safety system Bitron 902 works together with at Bosch SHU46A52Sk/56? Looks like som sort of dual valve system. One electric cable with two wires runs from the Bitron to the machine.
Can the Aquastop system activate the machine’s drain pump?
I’m asking since I have a faulty Bosch unit (see thread viewtopic.php?f=33&t=25436) with a drain pump going non-stop and is trying to figure out whether it’s the control panel or the aquastop system that needs replacement.
Did not find anything on Bitron’s Italian web site.

No, it prevents the inlet valve from operating. The 2 wires are the power supply to the valve. The blue hose is the water supply to the machine, the smaller clear hose is the water block hose. 😉
If your machine overfills the water block hose activates the air bellows within the inlet valve device to stop the valve (mechanically not electrically) from operating. 🙂
The drain pump is operated (in the event of a leak or flooded base) by the float switch in the base. Usually in these circumstances the pump is the only thing that will operate and often with or without the door being shut! 😯

Martin, thanks for your reply.
Sorry I’m a bit confused, when you say inlet valve, do you mean in the aquastop unit itself or the inlet valve in the machine? Because the wires must be for supplying power to the valve in the Bitron device?
Aside from the tap connection, my Aquastop device only have one light-grey rubber hose (water supply hose) and one black cable, both connected to the machine. The water supply hose and the black cable runs in a ribbed gray outer-hose.
There is no smaller clear hose, or is it so small I could have missed it? Will re-check when I’m back home tonight.
Anyway, from your explanation I understand that the Aquastop system could not not really trigger the drain pump. Only the float switch or possibly a faulty control board can?

Problem solved. Wasn’t the aquastop. See link to original topic mentioned earlier in this thread.
