hpt 8596p no evap fan

hi all
got a hotpoint frost free quite old now 8596p
the freezer is cold but the fridge is warm.
When I switch it on condensor fan and compressor come on ok but the evap fan does not 😥
has any one come across this ❓ is it a delay start fan or does it only come on when cold, ie thermister.
fan ok but no feed to it.
no door switches on this one only the light swich which is ok.
cant find a wiring dia to see what goes where.
To make it even more exciting the dvd says you have to change the pcb and the motor on early ones 👿

Usually Evap thermistor. Unplug fridge switch on with door open fan will run for 1 second proving feed o.k.

Hi Paul

Is the condenser free from dog hairs/dust etc, these were prone to getting clogged up and resticting cooling, giving warm fridge tempratures.

As your DVD states the early condenser cooling fan had problems with fan/motor (started to run a bit sluggish and impede cooling of condenser). Cant remember if fan runs straight away or when evaporater temp drops a bit, been a while since ive seen one.

when evaporator temp drops. can be a long wait with customer over shoulder.

Was It problems with the black evaporator thermistors on these, and the green ones ok? or vice versa.
