Been to look at a Hotpoint TDC30P (i think) condenser dryer, no heat, element is ok & so is ‘stats, found float sw’ to be faulty but by-passed it & still no heat, relay does click in, i replaced it with one i found in van (didn’t know if its ok or not) made no different, checked timer wiring & i have 230 v between pink & white wire to neutral, didn’t have much time to do tests, it had lots of fluff inside that i had to hoover before i could even see timer connections. I kinda suspected duff timer but would like to have your learned opinions on it. Anyone have a wiring diagram?

Did you check the stat at the front of the drum?

Can supply a diagram if needed, but agree with Simon, the stat situated at about 12.05 o.clock, in the door surround would be my next call after the two main stats, then the timer.

Jesus i hate dismantling these, they are so difficult to even put a belt on. Does the float swith cut off supply to heater as well? I have disconnected it & connected two thick cables together, i take it other one gives a signal only to led?

I just need to know where wires go onto float sw’ as it was burnt.
